DBTP.org Photo Scavenger Hunt

Ever notice how everyday things remind you of DMB? Whether it's a street sign, store name, or just someone that looks like a band member? I'm sure we're all guilty of thinking of the band at the most random times! So let's put our obsessed minds to use for this month's DBTP contest!

If you like to take pictures...this contest is for you! 

Contest Rules

*All entries must include 4 photos, one from each category:

-Song Title
-Band Member
-Song Lyrics
-'Wildcard' DMB related photo

*Pictures may not be found on the internet or edited in anyway (such as with Photoshop).
They must be your own!

 
*Top entries will be chosen by the DBTP.org staff based on creativity and originality. These entries will then be voted on by all DBTP members.

Try not to pose pictures beyond a certain extent. Remember, creativity is the key! For example, shaping the number '41' out of peas and taking a picture would not be quite as creative as stacking together a bunch of watches and calling it a 'Watchtower'.

Second Place: A DMB Live Trax of your choice

LJMS Art is a website dedicated to original artwork inspired by the music of Dave Matthews Band. With many beautiful paintings created through the inspiration and music of DMB, LJMS has pushed the artwork to another level creating a book further exploring the world of DMB.

This book is heavily influenced by the fans an features much more that just artwork.

"Dave Dances" includes:

    * Over 200 pages with hundreds of color photos and stories that are funny, sad, hopeful, and inspirational . . . "Pregame" with Misty and Melody or read one young husband's story of losing his wife.
    * Many full page color plates of my paintings combined with vellum overlays
    * Sketches, cartoons as well as foldouts of some of the most beautiful DMB "Dreamgirls" ever
    * Poetry from the brilliant David Lago–Gonzalez
    * The fabulous photography of the band from David Adam Beloff
    * Hundreds of photos that document what it means to be a fan
    * Fun Davespeak
    * The most unusual contest that you will ever enter. How well do you know the band and their music? How well do you know the "Dave–inci Code" ?

      The first 500 books will be signed and numbered hardcover Limited Editions and include
      an entire set of Trading Cards created by the author. . . . one for each chapter!

dontburnthepig.org has incorporated a new feature to the forum, called Chatbox.

What is a Chatbox?

Think of it as an instant messenger for a group, rather than just 1 on 1 conversations. 

This Chatbox will be available to use on our forum for open discussion about various dmb related topics.

The chatbox will currently be available to use during DMB shows for setlist discussions.

To use the Chatbox you will need to be registered on our forum. If you are already registered, you can simply log on to the forum and click on the chatbox link at the top of the forum.

dontburnthepig.org is asking you, the fans, what your all-time favorite Dave Matthews Band performances are from the past 17 years. We know it is hard just to pick 1 song, and you don't have to. List as many as you want.

Why does DBTP want to know what our favorites DMB songs are?  

This list of songs (that you provide) will become one of many dbtp.org compilations. Members of our forum will vote for their favorites and the list will be broken down to the Top 20 songs. Those songs will become available to download here at dbtp.org for your listening pleasure.

WAIT...There's More...

By submitting your favorite song on our forum, you will automatically be entered in this month giveaway for a DMB: Music for the People Book and a 2007 Summer Tour Sampler CD.

Happy New Year!

dontburnthepig.org is continuing the tradition of giveaway gifts to DMB fans with a series of monthly contests. We have a lot of great prizes and contests in store for 2008. We are raising the bar this year an we hope you will join us and participate in the fun. 

To start off the year we are giving away SNL - 25 Years of Music, a 5 disc DVD Box Set.

This is a unique giveaway, because whether you are a Saturday Night Live fan or not this collection features a ton of great performances and sketches spanning from 1978 through 1998.

This DVD box set does feature the Dave Matthews Band with their performance of "What Would You Say" from their first appearance on SNL in 1995.
