12/31/09: Correction: The current track listing posted by amazon.com is the complete set list from night 3 - 12/12/09, not a compilation of the 3 nights as stated previously...

On December 10-12th, Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds played 3 stellar shows at the Plant Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Just days later amazon.com posted for sale "Live in Las Vegas" a 2 CDs of the 3rd night from the 3-night stand. There has been no official announcement by DMB management at this time, but the amazon post states a February 9th release date along with a track list.

There were also cameras at the shows as well which could point towards DVD release, however there is no indication at all right now that this will happen.

The set list contains a nice mixture of old and new along with a couple Tim solos and a rendition of b-side "Little Red Bird" which had never been performed live prior to these shows.

The weekend featured countless highlights which may or may not be on this release, but overall it is a nice addition to any DMB collection, especially with many "Big Whiskey" songs being featured on an official release for the first time Dave & Tim style.

Some notable items omitted from this release are some of the cover songs played throughout the weekend. Songs like "The Maker", "Down By The River" and "After The Goldrush" which Dave played on piano. Also "Angel from Montgomery" which had not been played since 2001. Other classics missing are songs like "The Stone", "Ants Marching" and "#41" to name a few.

One of the most impromptu moments of the weekend was a rendition of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" influenced by 2 fans dressed as Santa and Mrs. Clause after Dave spotted them in the crowd.

This release will be one of the first of 2010, unless Live Trax or a DMBLive release pops up in the meantime, which is more likely than not...
