DBTP.org Media - Series 2 - DMB Guest Compilation

Series 2 of our dbtp.org media compilation features various songs with guests that have performed on stage with Dave Matthews Band.

Since the beginning of DMB's career they have welcomed other musicians onstage with them to perform their songs. These guests whom have played everything from electric guitar down to the didgeridoo have supplied the band and the fans with countless memorable performances.

Series 2 of the dbtp.org media compilations will cover many of these performances which spans from 1991 through 2007.

The first "technical" guest ever, was Boyd Tinsley on 08.21.91*. At this time he was not yet an official member of DMB, but played in many shows with the band before becoming an official member.

Peter Griesar who played keyboards and harmonica for the band was with them for a short period of time in the early 90's, but parted ways with the band after the Big League Chew show on 03.23.93.

The first guest ever to perform with the band who was not a member or later became a member was Darrell Rose on Percussion.

Many other guests have graced the stage with DMB, some mutliple times and others just once.

Butch Taylor, who has been a long standing guest with DMB, first took the stage June 5th, 1998. Since then he has become the "un-official" sixth member of the band contributing his work on the keyboards on both the stage and the studio. Before joining DMB Butch played with a band called Secrets, with Carter Beauford and Tim Reynolds.

Rashawn Ross, trumpet player, whom has recently become a steady guest with the band since 2005, joined DMB on stage for the first time June 18th, 2005. Rashawn has played with many artists over the years, but has also tour with band like Yerba Buena, Soulive and DJ Quik since 2000. Rashawn, while only a guest has joined DMB in thier 2006 and 2007 tours.

Other frequent guests include Bela Fleck, Tim Reynolds, Warren Haynes and Robert Randolph, to name a few.

All guests, whether frequent or not, will be covered in this compilation, providing you with hours of listening enjoyment and another angle into DMB's history...
